It may be my age, but I find having a girlfriend at work can be very problematical, especially if you work for a large corporation. One of the things that can go wrong is that one could receive the promotion that the other was going for and could create too much friction. Another is having a row with the person and having to go work with them the next day. This could lead to you getting termed.
What are you thoughts on this?

Personally I think it can be okay to an extent. For example, my mother and step father met working in different sections of the IT department at what is now PNC bank. They didn't work for each other or under each other and though they were both working for IT, they were in completely different departments of the IT department. So when you talk big corporation office romances, I think they can work so long as what I said applies to the case.

It depends on the line of work that the spouse or potential is working in. For example, working in a call center could be a great place for both to work, considering neither one of them has the opportunity to work together, unless one somehow gets the opportunity.
